cookies
i decided that it would be fun if olivia and i did a valentine's day craft for the first week, since the holiday was just around the corner.
with the help of my mom i came up with the idea to decorate heart shaped sugar cookies with her.
this was a great activity because olivia l o v e s to cook, it was totally hands on, and she really really liked the frosting:) i think she liked that this was her project and that they were her cookies she decorated. it was something that she could show that she did all on her own.
i had such a fun time doing this with her!

every week i get to do this with olivia, i feel like i grow more and more. it truly is a blessing to be around such a sweet spirit and to feel of her light. olivia really does have a light and it shows. i am always so happy around her and i know that it's because of her own joy. i know that i need to strive to be more like her and work on being a light for others.
president monson says, “as we follow the example of the Savior, ours will be the opportunity to be a light to all we meet."
i hope that we can all become "lights" for those around us. let your light shine! let others feel of your happiness. i know that if we strive to live a more joyous life, that we will be blessed and it will bless others' lives, too.
